siximpossiblethingsforbreakfast asked: Did you invent the idea of the Golden Hour? I have some inkling suspicion you did. And if perhaps not, I know with certainty that you are the one who introduced the concept to me. On days like today, I think of you. Happy Friday. xoxo

I most certainly did not invent the idea of the golden hour. From my understanding, it’s a common term in photography kind of like the blue hour.

BUT, before this online place ever existed, I would wake up early, run & watch the sun rise. I would sometimes take pictures & I appreciate that now I have a place to share it. I also found this phrase once on a blog & I related to it. I posted it on my very first golden hour post:

> THE GOLDEN HOUR It’s the hour of clutter free time before the day really begins. The time you normally spend sleeping. You can sleep when you’re dead. So. Wake up. Have a coffee. And get the brain whirring. And you’ll find that you think better for the whole day. Whether it means checking your 50 favorite blogs before you clock-on or running two laps of the tan. I know it’s winter, but just do it. You’ll feel good. -lady chameleon

Anyways, I’m glad you think of me. I like to see that other people appreciate the golden hour too. I love other pictures. M is an avid appreciater of the golden hour, usually when I’m up early, I know she is too.

Happy Friday to you. Golden hour was beautiful in Denver today.
